The 2025 Global Korea Scholarship Program for Graduate Degrees is now open

We are glad to announce the 2025 Global Korea Scholarship Program for Graduate Degrees (Master's or Doctoral Program)

Students who are interested in this Program should submit their Application and Required Documents, for the first selection, by Email to: lbkor@mofa.go.kr (write in the subject: “2025 GKS Application- *Your Name*”

Deadline for submission: 2 March 2025

APPLICATION FILES SHOULD BE ARRANGED AND SUBMITTED AS EXPLAINED IN THE GUIDELINES by order AND IN ONE PDF DOCUMENT.

Attached are the application guidelines and application form.

This year THREE Lebanese Applicants and TWO Syrian Applicants will be selected

All documents must be submitted in English (Translate if Necessary)


N.B:  

Applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31, 2025 can also apply for the program with a certificate of expected graduation and grades for all completed semesters at the time of application. Such applicants must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript to GKS Center, NIIED by July 31, 2025. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your acceptance.

Lebanese and Syrian students living abroad can only submit their application through the Embassy in Lebanon. Bare in mind that in case you make it to the first round selection, you will need to submit your application and required documents in Hard copies and certain documents need to be apostilled by the Embassy. In that case, these documents that need apostille should be first apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon, otherwise, the Embassy does not confirm it.

Other nationality students living in Lebanon cannot apply through the Korean Embassy in Lebanon

Applicants must check additional restrictions or eligibility set by each university - Please check if there is any additional eligibility set by each university/department.

Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked in the top 20% of one’s class. CGPA must be equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5 or 3.23/5.0

A person who has previously received a scholarship from the Korean government is NOT eligible to apply

Also, Final successful candidates of the GKS degree program from the past three years who have withdrawn from the program or was disqualified from the program prior to enrollment cannot apply

If any of the required documents are not submitted or if any of the application forms are submitted without applicant’s signature, his or her application documents may be excluded from evaluation
